The psychology behind it. I love making things pretty (who doesn't!?), but for me, my true passion sprouts from the understanding of users' actions. When you design something that flows well and works efficiently, it's like finally fitting all of the puzzle pieces together.
What’s your favorite local meal?
I feel like I'm supposed to say tacos, because, Austin, TX. But it's sushi at Uchi. Their chefs are extremely intentional and they always perfect flavor and texture. The eggplant nigiri might be my favorite bite ever.
What's your favorite place to travel to & why?
I don't think it's possible to distill this down to any one place. Cape Cod, because it will always be home. Northern California because it's beautiful with so much fresh air. And Italy, because it's dreamy in ALL the ways. The people are warm, the views gorgeous, the architecture inspiring, and the carbs addicting. If we're talking broadly: stick me in front of the ocean—somewhere warm—and I'll be happy.
What’s your secret power?
I like to think I have an innate intuition for people; I'm able to easily sense other's needs and feelings. I'm also incredibly principled, though sometimes this gets me into trouble.
Are you team coffee or tea?
Team tea all the way, though sometimes if I'm feeling crazy on a Saturday I'll have a cup of joe (aka 1/2 cup coffee, 1/2 cup dairy-free creamer). I almost always regret it.
Where do you find the best inspiration?
In the people around me. In honest writing. In imperfection. And Dribbble!
